Hello Krusche and Vogeltanz anbei "the hand of poverty roller coaster ride" in it's native language.

Best wishes Josef.

I am uncertain about the exact point in time, but roughly at the halfway point towards the fine arts degree, it was remarked: „The one who does not own a house by now, never will!“

It was then that my status was realized and listed among the group of the have-nots. Not that this is expressed as a statement of regret. On the contrary, I reply in quiet exaltation that the manor of squalor has never been devoid of the quality of life.

During undergraduate times, when tuition payments made other monetary requirements difficult or impossible, I managed to keep a reserve; a mobile shelter titled the VW micro bus. During the week it was stationary on campus serving as the sleeping chamber, and on weekends driven to the Atlantic coast line as the recreation beach hut. jos04b.jpg (12837 Byte)

The summer months led to manditory journeys to remote and manifold sites, such as: broken down on a postal route in Tennessee, driving with failing brakes through downtown Cleveland, pulling the sun up in Beauford, N.C., on the roof without orientation under a pensive sky in southern California ...

Thus, I have gathered many „hand of poverty bonus points“, enabling me to cast the greasy nuts and bolts of life onto paper, imbue them with content, and direct them along with dynamic gesture until I stand victorious upon a carpet of oil and grease.
